Overview
ProActive DBA SQL Capture Login Monitoring Option extends SQL Capture by providing tools for viewing and reporting on connections made to your database servers.
Major benefits include:
- Captures all logins sent to the database server
- View database logins by user, application, client address and other groupings
- View and export SQL statements executed by individual logins or groups of logins
Features
The SQL Capture Login Monitoring Option ties into the SQL Capture graphical interface by providing a window that shows you database login activity in a variety of ways.
You can choose to display logins grouped by user account, by application name, client host name or client IP address.
For each group, summary statistics are displayed, including the number of successful and failed logins, the total login duration and total count and duration of the SQL executed by that group of logins.
When you select a login group, the individual logins in that group are displayed below.
You can click to view the list of SQL executed by an individual login or group of logins. Navigational tools let you easily move between the SQL Capture and Login Monitoring tabs, to see the login details for a given SQL or vice-versa.
Technology
The SQL Capture Login Monitoring Option uses the same network sniffing engine used by SQL Capture, so no additional overhead is incurred in login monitoring.
Login details are saved along with captured SQL statements to compressed flat files which can be stored locally or remotely, or can be archived to an Archive Server.
Database Support
The SQL Capture Login Monitoring Option is available for SAP Sybase ASE, SAP Sybase IQ, SAP Sybase Replication Server and Microsoft SQL Server.
